The place looks great and clean. Food was delicious and in good portions. Fair pricing. Everyone was really nice. The place was very busy. I will just suggest a little more organization when it comes to the servers. I could see they were a little overwhelmed, but it's understandable with the sudden popularity that the HGTV renovation has brought to town. Overall, very satisfied. We will definitely come back to visit the town and to eat at Sophie's Cafe.
I usually just get coffee and pastries but I recently got their Cuban Sandwich for lunch to go and it did not disappoint. The sandwich was perfectly prepared, the bread was amazing and it was nice and hot. The staff is super nice and very accommodating. I would highly recommend the 1/2 cuban for lunch or dinner.
I spent the better half of two weeks staying in Sebring, and every morning started with breakfast at Sophie’s cafe. I looked forward to walking there from the Roanoke Hotel, and having my morning Cafe Con Leche, a pastry (usually Guava and Cheese), or one of the many breakfast options on the menu. I returned some days for a lunch or dinner, it’s just that great. There are plenty of options in and around the Sebring Circle, but Sophie’s was always at the top of the list. I met the owners and many of the employees and all share the same welcoming and pleasant vibe. Plenty of indoor and some outdoor seating, great decor, and just all around enjoyable dining experience .
So good I've eaten here two days in a row. We had the pernil, ropa vieja, and cuban sandwich. As a native Floridian, this is the real deal. Not to mention super smooth Cuban coffee. Highly recommend.
My wife and I visited Sebring because of the HGTV show!!! Wow what an amazing restaurant! So clean, well run and the food!!!! Amazing!!! The staff absolutely delivers, we were so excited to be a small part of your Success. We drove 1 1/2 hours from Parrish FL and we plan on definitely going back for Christmas Holidays! I went with my husband this past Saturday as it was our wedding anniversary. We traveled 3 hours as I had seen this on HGTV and wanted to visit. OMG was NOT disappointed. It was worth the drive. The food was excellent delicious and the restaurant felt like home cozy the atmosphere was perfect. The ladies there were so nice. Will definitely drive 3 hours again to go back. I bought home some dessert and pastries unbelievably delicious.
Super tasty Cuban food… 10 out of 10. I recommend the Palomilla steak.. Prices are reasonable compared with others in the area. Definitely coming back soon!!
My wife and I drove down to see the city and we loved this restaurant! The ropa vieja was very good and I have eaten this dish in many places. I think this may be my favorite!. The cuban was delicious as well!
Sophie’s Cafe felt like home. The space is beautiful and clean. I went for breakfast — the food was delicious, the café con leche was perfect, and the staff was kind. The soft spanish music in the background was a nice touch. They don’t have too many tables so it feels intimate and inviting.
A lovely addition to Highlands County. Friendly with a pleasant atmosphere. Slightly tropical feel to the decor but subtle and not overly thematic. The service was helpful and attentive without being intrusive. The café con leches were “perfecto”. The food was prompt and tasty with nice portions. A delicious quesito was a perfect ending to a relaxed meal. My wife and I will definitely be back.
